2. What information we collect
When you send a quote request, download our recycling guide or contact us, we may collect your name, company name, email address and/or phone number, the service you require, and information included in your message. For guide downloads we email your name, email and optional company to GRIDCO through Gmail to record the request and provide the PDF, not for unsolicited marketing. We also collect limited technical information for security and site performance.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to respond to enquiries, provide quotes, arrange and deliver requested services, send confirmations, issue waste transfer notes, and communicate about bookings. We do not use your information for unsolicited marketing or sell personal data.
4. Legal basis for processing
We process personal data under legitimate interests to respond to enquiries and provide services, contractual necessity where a contract is formed, and legal obligations such as retaining waste transfer records.
5. How we share your information
We do not sell or rent personal data. Information may be shared with Google for Gmail and, with consent, Analytics; the Environment Agency where waste transfer records are audited; and staff who need it to arrange your collection.
6. How long we keep your data
We retain enquiry and contact records for up to 12 months after last contact, or three years where a service was carried out for accounting and legal purposes. Waste transfer notes are retained for at least two years as required by law.
7. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies required for the site to operate. Google Analytics 4 is used only if you accept analytics cookies through the cookie banner; if you decline, no analytics tracking is collected.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you can request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or a portable copy of your personal data. To exercise these rights, email support@gridcowastemanagement.com; we will respond within 30 days.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
