Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 August 2026
1. About us
GRIDCO Waste Management is a fully licensed and registered waste carrier operating in the North East of England. By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.
2. Our services
We provide waste collection, clearance, and management services, including residential and commercial clearances, skip hire, construction waste, hazardous waste, WEEE, and green waste. Services are subject to availability and operational coverage.
3. Quotes and pricing
Quotes are estimates based on the information supplied. Final pricing may change if the waste volume or type differs, access is more difficult than stated, extra waste is presented, or hazardous materials were not disclosed. We will explain any price change before proceeding. Quotes are valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise.
4. Bookings and cancellations
Bookings are confirmed when we provide written or verbal confirmation. Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule, ensure safe access to the collection point, and have waste ready at the agreed time. An abortive visit fee may apply where a collection cannot be completed because of inaccessibility or inaccurate information.
5. Your responsibilities
You must provide an accurate description of the waste, disclose hazardous or specialist waste before attendance, ensure you have the legal right to dispose of it, and meet your duty of care obligations. We may refuse unsafe or undisclosed waste.
6. Waste transfer notes
We issue a digital waste transfer note for collections as required by law. You must retain this document for at least two years as evidence that waste was transferred to a licensed carrier.
7. Payment
Payment terms are agreed at booking. Domestic payment is usually due on completion. Commercial invoices are payable within 14 days unless agreed otherwise, and statutory interest may be charged on late payments.
8. Limitation of liability
We hold appropriate public liability insurance. Subject to the law, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant service. Nothing limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
9. Website use
This website provides information and supports quote requests. Content is provided in good faith and is not legal or regulatory advice. We may update or remove content without notice.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
